Strength

By in Reflections & Meditations, Seekers on 28 February 2012 at 12:32pm

Life is full of little situations, or 'life's little challenges.' These vary according to each person. How we behave and act to others must be done with sensitivity. In our recent training for the protection of children and vulnerable adults, a powerful message arose, 'someone in any given situation could become vulnerable.'

This implies that everyone is at risk. Vulnerability is an uncomfortable and unnecessary situation. As Christian's we learn that we must treat others the way you want to be treated. Put yourself in the other persons shoes, in treating someone with contempt , think first, would you like to be treated that way?

The seek-er.org Saga

I think I should recount the birth of our website before I forget it.

We started on the evening of Holy Monday, where we met in the university library. As documented in the previous post, initially there were only Lilian and I. She had a series of beautiful sketches of what she had in mind. For example, the home page looked like this on paper (as you can see, the final result is pretty much identical):

Hello world!

This is our new website running! Sarah is late. Did turn up in the end. Contributed with match.com information. Very useful indeed. Lambert nowhere to be seen? Marco and Lilian working like heros. Lilian had a deja vu moment too. Lilian & Sarah embarrassing Marco. Marco red in the face. Though heating in main Library could be to blame. Overall a successful & productive evening. The End.
